Awwwwww What a Cute Wee Westie from Whimsy Stamps

Well to my Wee blog for a Wee Whimsy Stamps post featuring the cutest wee West Highland Terrier image by Crissy Armstrong, he's going to steal your heart, cos he sure stole mine;
I've teamed this cute wee chappy up with some My Mind's Eye Papers from their 'The Sweetest Thing' Paper Pack. I've also used this wonderful wee sentiment from Raindrop Echo Design's Animal Companions Sentiments Digi set.

I used Graph'It Markers to colour my image along with the White Graph'It Shake Pen.  I added some hand drawn border details using a Sakura Pigma Micron Pen.  To finish my card, a little bling in the shape of some orange gems.

I have to say I love how this Wee Westie turned out, If I was ever going to have a dog, this is the breed I've always wanted, my parent's were going to buy me a Westie Puppy when I was a teenager, but by the time we got to the farm all the puppies had been sold! So it was obviously not meant to be.

That's all from me for today, hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and Thank you so much for visiting with me, please come back soon.
Bye for now

Visible Image create Awesome Dudes!!

It's Thursday so time for me to share another creation featuring the awesome stamps from Visible Image. Today's card also gave me the chance to try out a technique i've been wanting to attempt for a while..the motion effect!

My card features Jake from the Jake Skates set by Visible Image, isn't he such a cool dude, and the perfect character to use the motion effect with.  I stamped Jake with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto white card, then masked him with a trimmed post it note, before stamping the right side of his body three more times, each time I stamped my excess ink on scrap paper before stamping over Jake, so that i'd get the shadow effect.  Jake is then coloured with Graph'it Markers and a little White Graph'It Shake Pen.

For the background on my card blank, and around Jake I used the Retro Dots Background along with the textured accessory stamp that's included in the Jake Skates set. I used a Marvy Blending Blox in 'Shades of Caribbean' for this background, and to stamp the 'Awesome Dude' sentiment which is also included in the Jake Skates set.

Love is in the air with Visible Image

T'is the first of February and Time for some Love, February is after all the month of love, everyone loves Valentines Day! or maybe not, personally I love any excuse to celebrate love in all of it's forms.

Today mark the start of a new monthly challenge over at Visible Image, we want to feel the love, and all you have to do to join in is create a project featuring at least one Visible Image Stamp.

Visible Image has lots of stamps that just shout 'Love' at you, in fact they have a whole section in the store dedicated to Valentine's Day as well as one for Weddings and Romance.  However, I wanted to be a little different and show you how versatile the accessory stamps that come in some of the character sets really are.  For my card I used, the arrow stamp from the Tala catching dreams set, the woodgrain stamp from the Clayton legend set and the Be Brave sentiment from the Silverheels brave set of stamps.

Here's my card;
I used Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to stamp the wood grain stamp onto some Kraft card stock.  I continued stamping until I'd created the look of a wooden panel, I then left this to dry before cutting it out.  I took another piece of Kraft card stock and scored it in half to create an A5 card, onto which i stamped the Be Brave sentiment with the same distress ink.  On a scrap of Kraft card I stamped the arrow, coloured it with a red Graph'It marker before fussy cutting it.

I added my faux wooden panel to the card front using some foam pads to give dimension.  I then took a large red satin heart embellishment and cut a little slit in the front of it, into which I put the arrow.  I then adhered the hear to the wooden panel with more foam pads.

I hope you like my creation, and it inspires you to take a look at your stamp collection and think of new ways of using some of your accessory stamps.
