Easy as 1, 2, 3 with Delicious Doodles

Its time for a new challenge over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge blog.  This week's theme is super easy, as it is a:

"1, 2, 3 Recipe"
1 x Image
2 x Different Embellishments
 3 x Designer Papers

My 1 image is Cross with Roses
My 2 embellishments are organza ribbon and a metal word sticker
My 3 Papers are two different K&Co Yellow patterned papers, and one MME Green patterned paper.

I coloured my image with a mix of Letraset Tria and Promarkers, before trimming it to fit my piece of yellow card stock.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch around the Page set of punches to create my heart frame, before weaving some organza ribbon through it.  I added another piece of yellow card stock to a white card base, before adding my yellow patterned papers.  Using the second yellow paper I created a border for the middle of the card and gave it a heart punched edge.  I then added my green patterned paper before layering a strip of yellow card stock onto it. I then added my layered image along with the metal word 'hope' sticker.

I'll be sending this card to a family friend who recently lost her husband, here's hoping it brings her a little comfort.

Thank you for visiting with me today,
Have a Blessed Weekend
Bye for now

Fabulous Suzi, am sure your friend will treasure it, not an easy kind of card to make, but this is stunning xxx
